The Spinner was a obstacle in Season 1 of Wipeout.This was one of the hardest obstacles in The Wipeout Zone,because of its speed and barricades. If the contestant wiped out,he would have to swim back to the rock wall.Also,sometimes the contestant could not reach the handles on the rock wall while climbing the ladder.If the contestant made it across the Spinner,the next obstacle is the Launch Pads.In Wipeout Canada,it is renamed the Sponge Towel Spinner because the barricades are replaced by Sponge Towels.
