The Qualifier is called the Winter Wonderland Qualifier. It consists of many winter-themed and snow-covered obstacles, starting with Nana’s House, which features a pie in the face piston arm, two French doors that swing open to hit them, some snowmen, and Fido the dog, who comes out of his doghouse to trip contestants into the icy muddy water. Next is the classic Big Balls with an all new Motivator called the Snow-tivator, which is a sped-up forward-moving dreadmill that helps contestants get motivated leading up to the obstacle. Then there's the Snow Plow Sweeper, a long sweeper bar that clears a path to the final obstacle, the Yule Log Jam, two moving platforms made to look like logs the contestants must cross to get to the finish platform.

In episode 2 (Winter Wipeout: The Musical), the first obstacle was called Mogul Madness--a ski slope that hits contestants (while wearing fake skis) back with moving sweeper arms while their hanging from a crossbar on a zip-line in mid-air.
In episode 3 (Don't Fear the Beaver), the first obstacle was called the Winter Wonder Planks, which is the winter version of the standard moving piano key platforms.
In episode 4 (Baby, It's Blob Outside), the first obstacle called the Winter Brrr Blob featured a 1,000 pound bag that dropped on a floating air bag platform that launched contestants 50 feet in the air into the water below. The third obstacle called the Snowman Sweeper were a two rotating sweeper arms made to look like snowmen - it is best described by the hosts as "Frosty the Snowman coming back for revenge!"
In episode 5 (Hockey Pucks and Bieber Fever), the first obstacle called the Gingerbread House is a candy coated version of "Nana's House" complete with a gingerbread Fido dog.
In episode 6 (This Little Piggy Went to Wipeout), the first obstacle was called the Holiday Hams, which features six moving pig platforms that as the hosts say, leaves contestants "glazed and confused".
In episode 7 (Some People Just Don't Know When To Quit), the first obstacle is called the Snowman Surprise, which features two snowmen heads on a spinning sweeper arm and a hidden trap platform that surprises the contestant when it swings backwards into their face. The third obstacle's name was changed to the Polar Bear Express, which has the same spinning sweeper arms, only with polar bear heads on the end on them. The hosts stated, "Please don't feed the polar bears...anything but contestants!"
In episode 8 of Family Winter Wipeout (Family Night, Kids Eat It For Free), the first obstacle is called the Snowblower, which is two rotating wall platforms with three sweeper arms jetting out to trip up the contestants--as the hosts say, "sidewalks and kids beware!" Then its onto the "Snow-tivator" and the foamy "Big Balls". Then the continuation of the Polar Bear Express and Yule Log Jam.

Round 2

Ski Lift: A similar obstacle to the Sweeper. The twelve contestants start together on floating platforms 10 feet above the icy water as they move in a circular motion. They must hold onto the handlebars and lift themselves over the sweeper arms to avoid being knocked into the icy water. If it wasn’t difficult enough, the sweeper arms will rise higher and higher. The last six contestants standing move on to the next round, and the last person standing wins a $1,000 bonus.

Round 3

The third round is called the Seven Letter Word, which consists of seven letter platforms that spell the word WIPEOUT. The six contestants start en masse at the "W", and the first one to the "T" wins. They'll have to avoid the sweeper arms on the "W" and "I" slidewalk, go through the puddle on the "P", bounce off the "E" diving boards onto the "O" turntable, and jump over the hurdles on the "U" to get to the "T" finish platform. If they wipeout along the way, there are ladders at the "P", "E", and "U", so they won’t have to go back to the start. In episode 4 (Baby It's Blob Outside), there was a polar bear on the "P". There are three rounds, and the first person through in each round moves on to the Winter Wipeout Zone.

In episode 5 of Winter Wipeout (Hockey Pucks and Bieber Fever), Winter Blunder Land is featured, where the background is an ice arena called the Wipeout Ice Arena. There are three rounds. First, the six contestants take a spin on the Dizzy Dummy. Then they'll bounce off the diving boards onto the Spinning Slap Shot and make it over the Penalty Box. After that, they weave their way through the Crankshaft. Next, they try to avoid being checked by the Knee Sweeper, then jump to the Turntable and spin their way to the finish platform all while avoiding giant hockey pucks being thrown at them by two hockey players (one of them being John Henson) and a female skater. The first contestant through in each round moves on to the Winter Wipeout Zone.
In episode 7 of Winter Wipeout (Some People Just Don't Know When to Quit), Winter Blunder Land is featured again, where the background is a mountain chalet called Mount Wipeout. There are three rounds. First, the six contestants take a spin on the Dizzy Dummy. Then they jump off the diving boards onto the Rotating Platform and make it over the Bouncy Board. After that, they weave their way through the Crankshaft. Next, they try to avoid being checked by the Knee Sweeper, then jump to the Turntable and spin their way to the finish platform all while avoiding welcome gifts from the ski bunny and snow dude. The first contestant through in each round moves on to the Winter Wipeout Zone.
In episode 8 of Winter Wipeout (Family Night, Kids Eat It for Free), Winter Blunder Land is featured once again, where the background is an alpine adventure in the Swiss Alps called the Wipeout Alps. There are two rounds. First, the three families take a spin on the Dizzy Dummy. Then they jump off the diving boards onto the Rotating Platform and make it over the Bouncy Board. After that, they weave their way through the Crankshaft. Next, they try to avoid being checked by the Knee Sweeper, then jump to the Turntable and spin their way to the finish platform all while dealing with the locals, Smorgan and Morgan Robinson of the Swiss Family Robinson and their goat. The first complete family through in each round moves on to the Winter Wipeout Zone.
